Metroid fan game imagines what an N64 installment might have been like
A new angle on Samus
Samus has graced most Nintendo platforms with a mainline adventure, but the poor N64 wasn’t included in the fun. Many people wondered just what a Metroid outing would have been like on Nintendo’s first polygonal system, and now one fan is setting out to explore that idea.
Another Metroid 64 is a fan-made game from InDenial Game Studio, and they’ve just released a trailer showcasing what they’ve been up to. Another Metroid 64 gives a mix of third and first person action that acts as a marriage between the Prime series and Metroid: Other M. The end result looks quite compelling, and very N64-esque as well.
While the project is looking good already, there’s still a lot of work to be done before it’s complete. That said, you know how it goes with these fan projects. Once Nintendo catches wind of its existence, it’s quite likely they’ll swoop in and shut it down. Is that going to happen this time around? For the sake of the project, let’s hope not!
