Tingle creator wants Masi Oka to portray the character in the live-action Zelda movie

Fans have been putting together their dream cast for the upcoming live-action Legend of Zelda movie ever since it was announced, and there have been all sorts of names thrown around for Zelda, Link, Ganon and so on. We don’t even know who’s going to appear in the movie character-wise, but one former Nintendo employee has a special someone he’d like to see.
In an interview with VGC, former Nintendo employee Takaya Imamura spoke a bit about the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie. While Imamura has absolute no insight into the movie, he certainly has ties to Legend of Zelda, as he is the man who created Tingle. Not surprisingly, Imamura wants to see Tingle in the film, and he even has an actor in mind.
“…the Zelda movie has been announced, so I’m really curious as to whether Tingle is going to be in that or not. From my perspective, I would really love him to appear. Masi Oka (should play Tingle), you know the TV series Heroes? The Japanese character who goes ‘yatta!’, I’d like him to do it.”
Will Tingle appear in the Legend of Zelda movie? Time will tell, but fans might not be too happy if Oka does get the role, as they’ve had Danny DeVito pegged as a top choice for literally years now!
