We’ve all eager to see what Nintendo has in the works when it comes to new hardware, and at the top of the heap right now is the Switch’s successor. Oddly enough, Nintendo has been more than happy to showcase new hardware with fans…but it came in the form of Alarmo, the alarm clock last week. Now we have rumors of even more hardware, but it’s still not related to the Switch successor.
Famiboards user RandomlyRandom67 has been digging around various component shipments related to the Big N, and they seem to have stumbled on some evidence of the GameCube controller getting another round of manufacturing. We saw the GameCube controller come back for the Wii U and Switch, and now a fresh round might be in the works.
The component shipments mentioned above are all related to pieces and parts you’d find in the GameCube controller. That goes for the rumble motor, the LED light covers, trigger covers, and more. It’s not 100% official that the GameCube controller is making yet another return, but the evidence here is certainly strong.

21d agoThere's too much smoke for there not to be a fire started by something Gamecubey, and it's hard to believe it's just more ports or remasters.
That said, the idea of the upcoming playtest being for online Gamecube games is just way too easy a guess to be what that's happening for.
