Mom tears up seeing the painstaking care Nintendo took when fixing her son's Switch
Big N...bigger heart
There’s no doubt some of you have sent your Switch off to Nintendo for repairs. Most of the time, Nintendo gets things fixed up and sent back out in quick fashion, and they do a bang-up job in the process. That’s exactly what happened when a mother sent her son’s Switch to Nintendo, but someone at the Big N took an extra step that showed just how much they care.
Mother Fumie Wakabayashi sent her son’s Switch in to be fixed, and she did so while giving her son a warning. Turns out her son had plastered his Switch with a bunch of stickers he had collected from from various chocolate bars. The kid really loved those stickers, but the mother told him it wasn’t likely they would survive the repair process.
Imagine the mother’s surprise when the Switch returned not only repaired, but with the stickers salvaged as well. Whoever worked on the Switch at Nintendo had gone through the process of painstakingly removing each sticker to preserve them, then slipped them inside a baggie to ship out alongside the Switch itself.
Fumie was so moved by the kind gesture that she took to social media to share the story. She said that Nintendo’s attitude in valuing these stickers goes to show just how much they value the thoughts of children, and it was a move that made her legitimately tear up. You can see Fumie’s post below, along with a picture of the stickers safe and sound.
