The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was an absolute game-changer for the long-running franchise. Breath of the Wild turned Zelda tropes on their head and introduced all sorts of new gameplay, which led to the franchise’s biggest sales to date. The changes implemented in Breath of the Wild were big and small alike, but there’s one in particular that fans are still debating to this day.

Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom after it, feature a weapon durability mechanic. This means no matter what weapon you use, it’ll eventually break after enough swings. Some fans love the idea and others hate it, and that debate will likely rage on for years to come. If you happen to fall in the “hate” side of things, a newly-discovered bug in Breath of the Wild will be right up your alley.

In a glitch called the “cutscene obliterator” or “ultra obliterator,” Link can get a weapon with the Champion’s Ballad quest, and it provides the best melee option possible when all’s said and done. A weapon with unlimited durability, so you can hack and slash away without any worry of the thing breaking. To see the entire glitch and weapon in action, check out the video above!

Thanks to CM30 for the heads up!
