RUMOR: Fortnite leak could indicate upcoming Mario crossover

Fortnite has become a massive hub for crossover content, getting cameo content from properties like Marvel, Star Wars, LEGO, Street Fighter, and countless others. One company they have yet to collaborate with is Nintendo, although it’s not for lack of trying. Now, newly leaked asset seems like a hint that some kind of partnership might finally be on the way for the two companies.

Well known Fortnite dataminer iFireMonkey has discovered a new asset in Fortnite’s files following their most recent update. The asset is seemingly for “some type of Vehicle cosmetic”, and it strongly resembles a yellow Question Mark Block from the Mario series. Check it out below:

It’s possible that this asset was never meant to see the light of day and won’t actually amount to anything, but it’s just about impossible to deny its similarity to the iconic Mario blocks. Does this mean that Epic has finally convinced Nintendo to include some of their properties in Fortnite? It sure seems like something is going on behind the scenes, but nothing is confirmed for now.
