“If you can’t beat ‘em, eat ‘em” has been a tagline associated with Kirby in the past, but this may be the first time it’s this close to the real thing! Yoshinoya, a restaurant chain in Japan recently held a collab with Kirby which included things like Kirby themed bowls, and even a small collection of mini figures.

If that sounds enticing to you Kirby collectors out there, you’ll be sad to know that the chain recently published a statement saying that the entire collection sold out instantly! This isn’t the first time Nintendo or even Nintendo adjacent IP have sold out in this short of a time frame, but perhaps that speaks to the popularity of some of these characters, especially overseas. You can check out the official announcement below, and let us know what you think! Would you prefer to eat out of the Kirby bowl?

The clip in question begins around 15:11, and we’ll link the video below so you can check it out for yourself!

The internet can be a fun, and sometimes downright weird place. Over the course of bringing you the most up to date Nintendo news you can find on the internet, we occasionally stumble across stories like these that just tickle our funny bone so much that we’re compelled to share

This image depicts what the original poster indicates to be their parents weighing their gas canisters with their Wii Fit Balance Board of all things. Apparently this is because they just don’t seem to have a proper scale lying around so they chose the next best thing!

Just over a year removed from the base game’s launch, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s final expansion for the ‘The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero’ DLC arrives with The Indigo Disk, and believe it or not, it’s (mostly) great!

Dating all the way back to the debut of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, many eagle-eyed players (myself included) had lingering questions about certain mechanics and lore that have been left unanswered. Thankfully through the release of The Indigo Disk, we receive some insight into the seeds Game Freak planted in 2022.

Dave the Diver was a breakout hit in 2023, and even got a few mentions at last night’s Game Awards. Today, the game’s developers (Mintrocket) detail the game’s latest content update including the upcoming DREDGE collaboration, improvements to the Switch verison’s load times, UI improvements and more. Check out the YouTube video below for the full interview.

In 2023, MINTROCKET’s Dave the Diver and Black Salt Games’ DREDGE sailed into the collective hearts of gamers all around the world with their seafaring adventures that are as exceptional as they are different and a surprise collaboration between the two was revealed at The Game Awards 2023. New fish types, new recipes, and a new NPC all from the world of DREDGE are to be added to Dave the Diver via the free Dave the Diver - Dredge Content Pack, which will be available December 15th for PC and Nintendo Switch™. Take advantage of the chance to get both games at a discounted price with the Dredging & Diving Bundle on Steam, also available on December 15th.

Both single-player fishing adventures have amassed massive followings with OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE cumulative scores on Steam. While Dave the Diver features some rightfully scary encounters, the new crossover DLC brings DREDGE’s special brand of horror to the Blue Hole. The free DLC brings the critical and community-acclaimed titles together, adding new gameplay and content:

  • A new “Fog” weather event, which introduces the DREDGE content later in the game
  • Drive Dave’s boat similar to DREDGE gameplay, choosing different diving spots
  • Catch Aberrations, unique creatures with diverse attack patterns
  • New night map to explore
  • New weapon, the Drain Gun (can be created using Aberrant material)
  • New “Hooded Figures” to serve at Bancho Sushi using unique dishes created from Aberrant fish

It’s been less than 2 years since the initial reveal trailer for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet debuted. In that time, discussion on these games has been a bit mixed across the board. Depending on who you speak with, these two games represent the absolute best of the series, or the absolute worst. We here at GoNintendo presented an opinion somewhere in the middle, if not closer to the former when the games launched just last November. Now, nearly a full year into the game’s life, arrives the second and final DLC expansion for the two titles, The Indigo Disk.

Viewers of the TV show ‘Love Is Blind’ were greeted by one of the contestants flaunting his ranking on Pokémon Showdown in a newly aired episode.

For those out of the loop, Showdown is an online tool that a lot of potential competitors use to quickly try out teams/builds against other players before they commit to the process of making them in game.

However, some clever internet detectives have already done their searching and found James’ true ranking on the game’s leaderboards which doesn’t appear to be as high as he might have led on, with even longtime competitor and previous Pokémon Worlds Champion WolfeyVGC chiming in
