HOMES near to a mosque in Walsall have been evacuated following the discovery of a suspicious item.

Police were called to the Rutter Street address at around 10.45pm last night (Saturday 22 June) following the discovery in the grounds of the building. ​ Bomb alert near Walsall mosque – homes evacuated The item was then brought inside the building by a member of the public.
