Tamworth police have issued a warning to householders to be on their guard, as an increase in crimes involving doorstep conmen is expected.
Through intelligence, police have predicted that in June there will be an increase in distraction and bogus official burglaries across Tamworth.Offenders are expected to pose as water or gas board officials, and to try and gain entry into the homes of elderly residents, using the ruse of taking meter readings…
