The neoprene speed bump near Centre Park: technology that failed to satisfy The speed bumps adjacent to Centre Park in Castle Vale are to be dug up and disposed of.
The neoprene bumps were installed on both sides of Tangmere Drive in August 2013. They were designed to deflate if motorists passed over them within the speed limit, but many residents have complained that the noise from the bumps is antisocial, disruptive and keeps them awake at night…
