Microsoft and Nintendo have formed quite the working relationship over the years. It began with the baby steps of getting Minecraft out on Wii U and 3DS, and then things continued with a Switch port, sharing of IP, and multiple game releases. It’s a strategy that seems to have worked out well for Microsoft, and they have no intention of stopping.

In an open letter shared on LinkedIn, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella talked about all that the Xbox division accomplished this year, and that included their work on the Switch. Nadella spoke proudly of the collaborative efforts, and made it clear that everyone can expect more crossovers down the road.

You can read Nadella’s statement in full below.

“We are bringing great games to more people on more devices. With our acquisition of Activision Blizzard King, which closed October 2023, we’ve added hundreds of millions of players to our ecosystem. We now have 20 franchises that have generated over $1 billion in lifetime revenue—from Candy Crush, Diablo, and Halo, to Warcraft, Elder Scrolls, and Gears of War. And with Xbox cloud gaming, we continue to innovate to offer players more ways to experience the games they love—where, when, and how they want. Finally, we brought four of our fan-favorite titles to Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation for the first time, as we continue to extend our content to new platforms.”

Somewhat amusing considering the story about MS "just" thought they would purchase Nintendo when entering the gaming sphere xD That's a story that is just a classic.
Times have changed since then of course, but damn I'm happy MS didn't get what they wnated.

On a side note: Very happy to see saudi arabia not purchasing themselves more into Nintendo, the opposite happened. If they were to buy more shares I would have boycotted Nintendo.

Killer Instinct is on NSO, so it's not entirely impossible.
